Secondary One Orientation Camp 2009 When i say yihui you say 'cute'. YIHUI! Cute! When i say yihui you say' tired'. YiHUI! Tired! Orienation Camp was superb! First day, MainComms have to report by 6.30am and everyone was already chionging their mac breakfast when i arrive. After briefing by boss(WeiLoke), everyone started working. Yea, efficient. (: For the whole day, i was basically walking around, helping here and there be it during ice-breaker or station games. Trust me, it's a lot of walking and your legs will be freaking tired at the end of the day. Cheer session was kinda rush because of the delay of lunch and the singing of 'wind beneath my wings'. But i think it was very well done. Patrol during campfire preparation with shuli and shared ideas that i have with the different groups. It's really cool to see sec 1s getting up, dancing and all. (: The day ended with group reflection and debrief for OGLs then MainComm. Weeeeee~! Dinner time! Chilled around cwp before heading home at 9plus. Oh, and did I mention that I have been taking bus home together with tongjun for the past 3 days? Hah. 911-ers! Second day, we have got to reach by 7am! SiYing can’t help but laugh because she only needs to reach at 7.15am. But many OGLs were already there at 7! Early! Unlike that women, almost late~! Mass game was the first activity. I was the station master for station 9(Color blind) together with Kia Chyi! Anyway, 3 cheers to all the groups that showed great sportsmanship as well as very good team spirit. Keep up the good work! Hah. Made every group that come to our station do water parade. ^^ Songs and cheers session was well, tough. I didn’t have the slides and it was very difficult for the campers to understand. And,I was given the mic only after I shouted for 5 minutes. I didn’t wanna strain my voice and I told myself that I’m so using mic no matter what but I failed to. After lunch, they were given time for Campfire preparation. At this time, you can see the bits and pieces of the performance already. Some were already rehersing from top to bottom while others were still teaching dance steps. But I think all of them are more or less prepared. Next was individual group games and I went around judging the cheers. Thanks ShuLi for helping with it! Then, we proceed on for a few cheers before we were disperse for area cleaning. I was the area cleaning maincomm attached to class 1/2! The super cool class who never fail to reply ‘cute’ when I say ‘yihui’. Love them! Geez! Our area was the easiest!!! Quadrangle and parade square. Heh. Dinner was next and it’s the best meal of the camp. *thumbs up* Campfire was super duper fun! Took one side of the campers and got zijian to take another. Thanks ShuLi for helping with my side! Oh, and it was really a lot of shouting during campfire because it was noisy and all so I have to project my voice(I think that is why I got sore throat. Yes, really sore!). Oh, and did I mention that I signed a lot of autographs? HEH! THEY LOVE ME! MUAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. The quadrangle turned into a massive cam-whore ground immediately after campfire ended. Hah. It reminds me of the last day of indo camp when we were like some famous Hollywood star and everyone wants to take photo with us. (P.S. Do send me all the photos taken!) MainComm and OGLs helped to clear up after campers were dismissed. MainComm didn’t get to have debrief cause it was already very late when weiloke ended his OGL debrief. Debrief is postponed to next week(Awww, back to the sad truth and dreadful lessons!). This is the last Orientation Camp I have in Riverside attending the camp as a main committee member. Although it would’ve been better if it’s a 3D2N camp, I really enjoyed myself. Also, 3 cheers for everyone involved in this camp. Teachers, Parents, Secondary 1s, OGLs and the Main Committee. Another 3 cheers specially for some of my 2/5’07 classmates! You guys have been awesome man! I never knew Joel, RongHui, Kelvin, HuiMing, MeiHui and SiYing could be such great OGLs. You guys were leading your class in all the funky cheers, you guys made your class people laugh at your joke(Or maybe yourself) and you guys made your class super enthusiastic and hyper! So proud of you guys!!!! . Next 3 cheers is going to the camp cheer department! Khairul and Aishah, you guys totally rocks. No doubt that we’re the coolest department!!! Third 3 cheers is going out to my netballers. All of you did a wonderful job. ShuLi, thanks for helping me here and there throughout the camp. PeiTing, you did a great job in leading Activity! Last 3 cheers is going out to all bitches. SiYing, ZiJian, WeiLoke and Joel. All of you did a great job lah! Boss, although you’ve been super bitchy throughout the camp, you led the whole committee well. *Scrolls up and realize that the post is super long but ignored and continue typing* Headed to cwp for supper and caught mid-night movie(Ip Man)! It’s a nice show and guys, no matter how bad you are in understanding Chinese, go watch it. There are English subs! Even Joel can understand and laugh at the time that he is suppose to laugh. So it shouldn’t be too much of a problem for you. Hah. Then, we started our night trek to ChongPang and camped at the McDonalds there! We reach Chong Pang at 4am(It took us about 1 hour 30 mins). Did a lot of lame stuff and also took power nap. We were clueless of what to do and we slacked there till this morning before heading back to woodlands. Came to my place to slack and seriously, there were practically tearing my house down. MONSTERS! We watched TV, nap and play wii. I was having a cooking mama cook-out with zijian and lost! Damn. If it’s on DS, I would’ve won! BOO! Oh, all these dirty fellow slept on my sofa and bed!! And guess what, it took 4 of us to cook fried rice and Campbell soup! Imagine if we decided to cook pasta instead….. Attempt to blog after they left but fell asleep. So I went for a short nap and here I am blogging again. Seriously, I don’t like to be home alone(The rest are at Malaysia). It’s boring and all you can do is stare at whichever screen you have. Computer screen, TV screen, PSP screen and Handphone screen. And channel hopping is not one of the option today because our starhub remote is screwed. So need to change it. Talked to sis on MSN just now and I was telling her to tell mum and dad to come home earlier. I’m not feeling good and I don’t wanna faint at home without anyone knowing. Hah! Presenting to you the CAMP CHEER DEPARTMENT! (P.S. Not all photos are posted so if you want any photo, just let me know. Oh, and i will post photos taken by the infocomm once i get them.) |
