Why so care bear?

Hey people! I'm back, i'm back, i'm back! Thanks for all the misses! Why so miss me? HahA. OBS is really making me why-so-ish. Or i should say, it's riversidians who went OBS who made us go why-so-ing. LOL.

Day 1-Monday 7/4/08

We were suppose to reach school by 7 but many of them were late. LOL. Went into ITRR1 to put our bags and went to canteen. Walked and chatted here and there in the canteen and in ITRR1. Everyone's really excited and we really made quite a lot of noise in ITRR1. Then, attendance taking in ITRR1 and proceeded to hall for morning assembly. We left right after OMMS if i did remembered clearly. Went back to ITRR and started taking photos! LOL. Went around taking photos and we took group photo as well. ^^ Then, we waited downstairs outside coucelling room. We made a lot of noise, like duh~, how can we not be noisy. Finally, the bus came and off we went! yay-ness!

When we reached punggol, the bus uncle was kind of lost and he drove around looking for the road that leads to the jetty . It took him awhile before finding the correct road. So well, we alight from the bus, feeling really excited and waited for the boat. Mean while, we got into our group and i'm in BATTUTA! and the riverside battutians are, Isabel, Bernice, LingMei, JunAn, Eddy, JinYing, ZiJian and myself! We took photo again. hah. Then slacked around while waiting for the boat. Finally the boat came yea, OBS here we come!!! So excited. ^^

When we reached, we walked to the MPH( multi purpose hall) where hougang, northland and henderson secondary already gathered. Then , we were asked to sit according to our groups. But well, riversidians was still kind of sitting together. So we started cheering and stuff. I think we were really noisy. Haha. No doubt we're riversidians. Heh. I think we're the best school there. So proud of all riversidians.

So we did games and activities. Did trustfall and belaying. Trustfall is not as scary as the first time we did at kota tinggi. But still cant fall straight. aww~ Belaying is fun though. New experience, new skill. Great! Oh ya, shall introduce all Battutians! Isabel, Bernice, Lingmei, Eddy, ZiJian, JinYing, JunAn, ZheHao, ZiXiang, Isra, Felicia, Pamela, Julia, Huisi and yihui! hehe.

Then, after the activities. We were told to pack our lunch. LOl. We have got so much food. Oreos, crackers, bread. yum~ Packing as a group is really fun. Throwing the breads and crackers around. (P.S. good practice for passes!). Finally had the long awaited lunch after the packing. Did hungry cheer. love it.

After settling food, we settle our "home". Pitched our tents! Well, actually we din't. Kiah pitched for us because he used it as demo! Ain't we smart. geez. We didn't slack either, we volunteer to cook! First time cooking outdoor and first time cooking some edible food! Hehe. Wash all the utensils and bla. Then kiah taught us about the kahari window and also, we made our group flag! It's very very very nice!! Started packing for the hike after we finished the flag. The flag is so cute!

While packing, there's actually a fire drill! -.-" It's fake! But our group was first to reach there! Great job! heh. After that, we only left about 10 minutes to lights off, so well, gotta stop packing and go sleep.~

Day 2-Tuesday 8/4/08

I think i was the last to wake up? LOL. Well, packed our tent(You don't know how tiring it is just to get those tents into the bag. ),washed up and started the day with morning PT. Crunches, push up and bla. We played games as well! " right right, left left" lols. Then was breakfast! So love the eating part! Next, we went on with rock climbing and i manage to reach my target for the slanted wall but as for the rock wall, i failed 2 times! Didn't reach my target but it's ok. will do better the next time if i ever rock climb again. Oh ya, did i mention that zijian and i was eating throughout the whole climbing activity. We eat while people climb! Kaiyuan was also caught eating ALL THE TIME! Gluttons!

Lunch-ed and then learn kayaking skills. We did float test, deliberate capsize under supervision. Then, we proceed to try deliberate capsize ourselves somewhere further. LOl. Lingmei and i partner Zijian and Eddy. That's like so funny la. They capsized first then we did TX rescue. After that was our turn to capsize. I was practically having fun swimming. But well, not much of enjoying swimming with jellyfishes but just swimming. LOL. There are like so many jellyfishes! After all of us went up to shore, it started to rain! Washed the kayaks and moved around in da heavy rain! So fun la~

We were suppose to start our hike that evening but because of the rain, we get to stay at the campsite! heh. So, we started cooking while some of them went up to pitch tent!!!! The flight of stairs up has like 101 steps? LOL. But that place is cool~. Love it. Then, dinner,cooked too much food so gotta throw em' away. Threw quite a lot! Wasteful~ After dinner was night walk! We gotta do it alone!!! Oh gosh, i did it anyway. Survived tunnel thanks to bro. hah. Thanks kaiyuan,peiting for encouraging and zijian again for the oreo bet! heh.

Day 3-Wednesday 9/4/08

Zijian and eddy was like making so much noise early in the morning. That's what you get when noisy people wake you up!

Hiking today! Breakfast and then set off! The bag is really heavy. I bet it's heavier than carrying all of my textbooks! Combined with Amundsen! heh. Trekked to auntie's place. I think one thing i really learnt from our conversation with auntie is that despite being old, she still believe that she have the ability to support herself though she could have gotten a better life with her children. Heh. Then we trekked to quarry. Had to detour cause we went the wrong way. plus the weather is really hot. TIRED! Reached only after a long time. The quary is really really beautiful and the water is like clean~ We lucnh-ed, changed to our wet attire and left the rest of our clothes to dry. ( The weather is really that hot that can dry clothes really fast.)We did rafting and set off! It was really successful and when we were in the middle of the quary, we "jetty jump" off the raft. Damn fun! After all of us got down into the water, we actually swam back while pushing our raft. Don't bother hiking to the quary because it's OBS's property! wahahaha.

After the "shower" we continue trekking for very very very very very long. I didn't die, still manage to cheer here and there and also encourage people and the worst thing is, zijian only found out how we can support the bag using our butt when we're almost reaching! grrh... So after very very very very very long, we finally reach... Everyone was elated when we reached the campsite! We sat in a circle and massage for each other. Then we pitch-ed tent while others cook. Dinner was filling and we have had sea ex. briefing at night. Then, we also allocated slots for sentry duty at night!My slot is like 4.30 a.m.!?!? -.-" Gotta patrol cuz it's a public place. I was team with Zijian, JinYing, Isabel. We actually slacked, walked here and there a few times and slacked at the ponchos halim and guys laid outside their tents the rest of the time!

Day 4-Thursday 10/4/08

Woke up early today! KAYAKING! We got ready really quickly and gobbled down our breakfast. So excited la! Loaded our belongings onto a boat and moved our kayaking equipments into the sea. We started on time at 0815. I was really noob at first but after instructor who were kayaking at the side taught me, got the hang of it and manage to kayak real well. We went through muddy places, got our leg stuck in mud. It's rather fun. LOL. Especially at the potach where we gotta get down and move our kayak over to the another side. tiring~ The kayak is not as light as you think it is okay!

Continued after reaching the other side and had our lunch, floating!! Then, we had to kayak against the current! After reaching there we rested and chiong-ed to camp 2. The journey was really tough and tiring!We reached Camp 2 at 5pm, although our target was 3pm. Our instructor told us it was hard cos we had to go through more than other watches and it was a good achievement to reach there at 5pm! Great job Battuta and Admundsen!!! Cleaned our kayaks and started pitching tents( sea view. shiok!) and cooking. After dinner, Kiah talked to us and we actually bargain! We didn't want lights off time but too bad, we have to. But we were given free time so we just hanged around, slacked and chatted. Soon it was lights off, wanted to stay up but we slept anyway! LOL.

Day 5-Friday 11/4/08

We woke up at 5.55am today. We packed up our tents for the last time. Then we morning PT for the last time. Then we went to the port to have breakfast, hoping we could see sunrise. But sadly, we didn't get to see. ): After finishing breakfast, we went to pack the store and put everything back to place. Also, we checked the losses we had to pay for. Each of us ended up paying $1.50. After that we had debrief. Did all the housekeeping and shared our OBS experience. heh. Got a debrief from the camp Overall-in-charge then started to leave. Said bye bye to all the hougang buttutians and amundsens. So gonna miss them!

After that, we ferry-ed back to urban living! We board the bus, left and forgot mdm emilia. (P.S. we actually left her at the port!) The bus driver drove really fast. Like rushing for time. So we went back to pick mdm emilia before going back to school. After we reached school, we were welcomed by friends and mountains of homework! LOL. We chased after kelvin for belated birthday bash and the guys actually taopoked him in the middle of the road. Then we played basketball. Won choon han's team. HAHA. To think we had camp-ed for 5 days. Then went to LJS with Joel,ZiJian, KaiYuan, LingMei and Halim. So miss fast food! After lunch-ing, we walked around cwp in our huge and heavy bags and then home sweet home. HEHE. The first thing i did was to shower because i already didn't shower for 5 days! LOL.
